fire safety
The film we've created, together with the Fire & Rescue Service, focuses on the importance of following correct fire safety procedures to prevent a fire occurring. It also emphasises the issues surrounding false alarms and how this can best be avoided.
The style of the film is very much in line with student culture meaning the information is easier for the audience to digest. It can be distributed via the Internet as a web video or via your internal intranets and new student enrolment systems. You could also use the film via DVD players and/or on fixed screens around your campus
We spoke to a number of Universities about their fire safety education and found that a lot of existing videos being used to instruct students on fire safety weren't really engaging with their target audience. This was because many of the videos were dated and were perceived to patronise where they should inform. As a result these videos failed to emphasise how important the issue of fire safety really is.
We understand however that at the present time budgets are tight and not every institution has several thousand pounds to spend creating an effective, bespoke fire safety video. With this in mind we have created a film, which highlights the main points of fire safety that are the same across all Universities and Colleges. In addition to this we can also add a section of graphics and voice over providing specific information for each College or University thus creating an effective and engaging film at a price everyone can afford.
At the end of the film you'll see an on-screen graphic appear listing 'banned items'. It is from this point in the film where we can add additional graphics, still images, text and voice-over highlighting specific information for your University such as, evacuation procedure, contact numbers and disciplinary action.
We believe this film to be a highly effective tool for Universities and Colleges as correct education on fire safety procedure is essential knowledge for any student living away from home for the first time.
